Steering Committee

The Global Languages Steering Committee contributes to the overall strategic direction of the unit. The committee vets course proposals and consults on academic affairs.

It consists of the seven Senior Lecturers in Global Languages, three dean-appointed faculty members from the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (SHASS), and two student representatives. The Steering Committee convenes twice per year. A subcommittee of SHASS faculty members guides the unit regarding senior academic personnel matters. The Academic Programs Specialist supports the committee in academic matters, and the Director of Administration and Finance supports personnel matters.
