Jing Wang passed away in July 2021. She was the S. C. Fang Professor of Chinese Language and Culture in the Comparative Media Studies/Writing section. She was also the founder and director of New Media Action Lab and author of The Other Digital China: Nonconfrontational Activism on the Social Web (Harvard University Press, 2019).
