Jing Wang Memorial Student Prize
Honoring Student Excellence
The award is named in honor of the late Professor Jing Wang. The award is open to MIT undergraduates with a declared HASS Concentration or Minor in Chinese, and is recognized with a $500 prize. The entries are reviewed by a committee of Chinese lecturers.

2024 Applications (closed)
Declared Concentrators or Minors in Chinese are invited to apply. Applications may be submitted beginning March 1, 2024.
Students may submit a digital recording (audio or video) or write a brief essay of 800-1000 characters in Chinese about their personal experience of challenges, feelings and progress in learning Chinese.
All entries must be submitted by April 1, 2024, to be considered for the award. Submission details:
- One submission per student.
- Entries must be in Chinese.
- Essay submissions may be entered as text directly via the entry link.
- Audio or video submissions must be submitted as links (may be private links hosted in Dropbox, YouTube, etc.), and should not exceed 3 minutes.

Spring Fest
The winner will be honored at the annual Global Languages Spring Fest April 22, 2024.
